The hotel building has been meticulously updated from its former usage as a convent and pilgrim’s hospice in the 19th century. Components have been thoughtfully preserved and restored, such as a section of the 13th-century Crusaders Wall that was incorporated into the minimalist modern lobby.

Designed by the acclaimed John Pawson, the hotel pays homage to its historic surroundings. Its contemporary design blends seamlessly with its evocative architecture, which has been stunningly restored by premier architect Ramy Gill.
